Every so often, on a hot and sunny Tuesday afternoon, you’ll find Maxi and me sharing a burger at Burgers and Beers in Nosara.
Sharing is the keyword here because the burgers are huge and satisfying. Now, if you just got off the surf lineup in Guiones or just finished a Muay Thai class at Nalu Nosara, you’ll probably want your own. 😉
The menu may be small, but it sure is mighty. Tico owner and chef, Victor Garita has transformed the classic patty into mouth-watering works of art. The menu consists of six burgers: The Classic, The Fish, The Blue Cheese, The French, The Barbeque Mushroom and The Vegetarian. Each burger is accompanied by your choice of hearty fries or a salad. The salad is yummy, but we ALWAYS choose the fries. (Go big or go home, right?!)
Our go-to favorite is the Blue Cheese burger. It’s the perfect combination of blue cheese, caramelized onions, arugula and thick, juicy, high-quality meat. Pair that combination with a beer, and you’re sure to see smiles all around the table.
To quench your thirst, you can choose from over 20 beers — all local to Costa Rica. Choices range from Indian pale ale, summer ale, Saison, stout, porter, wheat beer and fruit beers. If you can’t decide which beer to choose, Carlos will be sure to offer his expertise with a smile.
During the high season (November – April) Burgers and Beers is open from 12pm-9pm Tuesday through Saturday, 12pm-8pm on Sundays and closed Mondays. But like most restaurants in Nosara, hours will vary during the low/rainy season.
